Established in 2004, Spike Creative produces an endless array of corporate branding, advertising, publishing, event and sales collateral in digital and print formats. We strive to be innovative and proactive and pride ourselves in offering our clients solutions and ideas that go beyond just answering the brief.
We love bringing ideas to life. We don’t overcomplicate the process. We have a simple philosophy – look after our clients and look after our people. This mantra has served us well for over 20 years, with the result being sustained growth in clientele and work produced for those clients, and an exceptional record of staff retention. This has enabled us to provide our clients with stable, reliable service and high level quality design.
Helping our clients tell their stories, not just advertising their services, in a way that is relevant and engaging to their target markets is the strategy we use to help cut through the clutter of today’s oversaturated media landscape.
We take care and we’ll take care of everything. The three pillars of our business are Quality, Service and Value. We never compromise on ensuring our clients receive the best of all these regardless of deadline, budget or logistical constraints.
Quality and consistency is of utmost importance to us and we believe this is all about setting high standards – and then striving to exceed them – Meet, Beat, Repeat. A large part of this is our attention to detail, doing all we can to ensure that everything is carried out correctly to achieve the best possible result.
Mick established Spike in 2004 upon leaving his role as Senior Art Director for Geoff Slattery Publishing (GSP), which became AFL Publishing. With GSP, Mick was responsible for managementof all AFL publication and design requirements. A graphic designer since 1990, Mick is a highly self-motivated and creative designer; his people management skills and creative flair have helped make Spike the success it is today.
Paul was the founding Creative Director One on One – Australia’s first basketball magazine – before joining Mick as Senior Art Director at GSP and AFL Publishing. Shortly after Spike was formed, he crossed to join the business and has contributed greatly to the status and reputation it enjoys today. Paul brings three decades of graphic design experience, discipline and creativity to the Spike mix, and like Mick, is proud of the long-standing relationships the business has been built on.
